Tree services in Albany Creek: what we see and what we do
Albany Creek sits just over the Brisbane boundary in the City of Moreton Bay, with 1980s and 90s homes on bigger blocks along the South Pine River and Albany Creek itself. Bunyaville Conservation Park borders the western side, and the blue gums, ironbarks and spotted gums that cover it also stand in many backyards. The gardens are of their era, with cocos palms, jacarandas and lilly pilly hedges now fully grown and closing in on pools and patios.
Albany Creek is about 55 minutes from our yard, so we book it in with other north-side work. Gum dismantles behind houses, palm removals and hedge reshapes are the common jobs. Because this is Moreton Bay, the rules are different: the council may require approval to clear native vegetation, and koala habitat areas generally cannot be cleared without it, so we check the mapping for your block as part of the quote (Moreton Bay clearing page).

City of Moreton Bay rules for Albany Creek trees
Most of the northside is Brisbane City Council, where the Natural Assets Local Law 2003 applies and the council fact sheet exempts trees within 3 metres of the house, trees under 30cm trunk diameter, dead and hazardous trees, and pruning of up to 20 per cent of foliage a year. Albany Creek, Strathpine, North Lakes and everything north of the Pine River is the City of Moreton Bay, which protects habitat trees and koala habitat through its planning scheme overlays and says you may need approval before clearing. We check whichever mapping applies to your address before quoting.
